About Me
- Name: Schultzie
- Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
I’m a PADI Dive Instructor who has been teaching scuba and snorkeling since 1989. In 1995, I started developing Mind, Body and Spirit Diving, a PADI Distinctive Specialty geared to Yogic and Meditative scuba and snorkeling - designed to relax new divers and improve enjoyment and performance for experienced divers. I have taught this program as a guest instructor around the Caribbean and in Florida ever since. It has received editorial mention in magazines and newspapers like Rodale’s Scuba Diving, the PADI Undersea Journal, Shape Magazine, The New York Times and the UK Times. It’s my belief that the dive industry is too concerned about extremes – diving deeper, longer, and into more dangerous environments like wrecks and caves. I have dedicated my diving career to relaxation diving, ‘Zen Diving’ if you will, for the rest of us, folks who were never Navy SEALs and aspire only to partake of safe and enjoyable dive activities during their time off. So this site is centered on stress reduction dive techniques, comfortable recreational sport diving gear, and realistic, enjoyable travel for the non-extreme diver. Oh yeah, and some nice photos when I can find them.
